Will it work for my business?

Being a generic approach for the management of 'business' projects PRINCE2® can be applied in any business environment. That includes government, non-governmental organisations and commercial businesses alike - across all sectors: IT, banking, construction, retail etc.

Is it only for project managers?

No, anyone or any organisation that works in project teams will benefit greatly from this course.

Why was PRINCE introduced?

This project management methodology was introduced because of the fact that so many UK government information systems projects were failing - either running over time or budget.

PRINCE and subsequently PRINCE2® were specifically introduced to address the common causes of project failure, to save time and money and deliver the project's intended results.

What does PRINCE2® mean?

PRINCE2® comes from PRojects IN Controlled Environments. In 1996 the methodology was re-launched (from PRINCE) as a generic project management methodology for all UK government projects, hence the 2.

Who uses PRINCE2®?

Small and large, private and government organisations around the world use PRINCE2®. More than 800,000 students have sat the PRINCE2® Foundation examination worldwide.

How long does the Foundation exam take?

The Foundation exam is 75 questions multiple choice and lasts an hour.

The format of the foundation exam is:

What if I fail the Foundation exam?

We cannot guarantee that you will pass the PRINCE2® examinations, but because so few of Kennedy Ryder course delegates fail, we guarantee you that you can return on the next foundation course of the same type in October without paying the tutor fees. You pay only for the examination fees, your lunch and a small administrative charge.

Do only people looking for jobs apply study for PRINCE2® exams?

No, but this is a bit 'chicken and egg'. Many people looking to make the next step in their career do invest in PRINCE2® training and many job adverts specify PRINCE2® qualification as a requirement. This is largely because organisations have seen benefits in adopting the PRINCE2® methodology and have trained project staff internally - then it makes sense for them to hire new team members who are already trained.

How much does it cost?

Kennedy Ryder course fees are related to the economy of the country in which they are delivered thus courses in Western Europe are more expensive than in countries with a developing economy. Good news is that there is an early bird discount for those able to book and pay in full by the Early Bird date below.

1. Register for the course and follow the payment procedure.
2. We'll arrange a copy of the course manual for you and you can begin familiarisation with the materials.
3. A three-day course will take place at the end of October 2012.
4. The one-hour examination will take place at the end of the 3rd day.
5. Results will be released within three weeks of the exam. The vast majority of Dr Ryder's students pass.
6. Internationally recognised Certificates will be awarded to delegates who pass. Attendance certificates will be awarded to all delegates.
